SharePoint User Interface

OmniRIM SharePoint UI Connector provides the familiar, intuitive and consistent Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 user interface to users managing physical records in OmniRIM and electronic content in SharePoint. The familiar user experience helps increase productivity of knowledge workers. Users have the ability to search, request (circulate), create, transfer and place holds on physical records from within SharePoint.

Integrated Search

The Integrated Search function enables SharePoint Search Server to find physical records in addition to electronic content that match search terms and criteria. It increases efficiency and productivity for locating all relevant information, whether it is electronic or physical.

Records Circulation

The Transfer functionality in the SharePoint UI enables users to transfer their active physical records and/or box them for archival storage. Combining the Transfer functionality with OmniRIM email-based notifications provides departmental records managers with the ability to manage local requests and circulation, thereby maintaining the crucial chain of custody for active records outside the corporate records center.
