FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Solution Streamlines Management of Inpatient Medical Records in Secure, Online Environment
Fairfield, NJ (April 1, 2003) - Archive Systems, Inc., a leading
provider of web-based hosted imaging and document storage services, announces it has
recently contracted with Bayonne Medical Center to expand its relationship with the
hospital to include a web-based document imaging solution to streamline the management
of its inpatient medical records. Archive Systems has been providing Bayonne Medical
Center with secure, off-site hardcopy records storage and delivery services for various
departments including Medical Records, Finance, Human Resources, Purchasing, Information
Technology, and others.
Bayonne Medical Center, a 278-bed, fully accredited, acute-care hospital
located in Hudson County, NJ, had evaluated various options for document imaging with the
intent on providing authorized hospital staff with secure, immediate access to medical
record information. Bayonne Medical Center recognized the need to take advantage of
imaging technology, but realized that deploying and managing an in-house solution would
be cost-prohibitive and labor intensive. After researching options for document imaging
solutions, Bayonne Medical Center selected Archive Systems to deliver comprehensive
Web-based image hosting, including high-volume off-site document conversion.
According to Penny Bond, Health Information Services Director, the
Archive DocuLogic service will enable us to gain expeditious, almost instantaneous access
to medical record information in a secure, browser-based environment, without the need
to manage a system internally. Bayonne Medical Center will realize increased productivity,
reduced turnaround time for continuation of care, and an increase in overall customer
satisfaction due to the implementation of the Archive DocuLogic system.
