Straight Through Processing and Automatic Line Item Matching
Are Key Topics at IAPP’s Annual Forum

Sessions Led by Archive Systems Demonstrate Benefits of AP Automation

Fairfield, NJ (April 29, 2008) - Archive Systems, a leading provider of accounts payable automation, today announced that the company’s sessions on Straight Through Processing and Automatic Line Item Matching at the IAPP 18th Annual Forum were received with very positive feedback. Due to the popularity of the Straight Through Processing topic, a total of three sessions were provided during the conference.

"We were very pleased with the strong turnout for Straight Through Processing," stated Rob DeVincent, Archive Systems' Vice President of Product Marketing and IAPP presenter. "Based on the popularity of the topic, the conference management requested that we conduct additional sessions to meet the demand. It is clear based on the reaction to these sessions that Straight Through Processing and Automatic Line Item Matching are high points of interest for Accounts Payable professionals."

"We know Straight Through Processing is a giant step forward for AP and were thrilled to see so many AP professional share our opinion," stated David Craig, President of Archive Systems. "Some of the business processes within AP have been notoriously resistant to automation. ASPEN 360 is focused on automating these processes. We first introduced ZeroTouch invoice processing several years ago. Now, with the combination of Automatic Line Item Matching and Straight Through Processing we can process an invoice from the vendor's ERP straight through to the Client's ERP."

DeVincent walked through the steps involved in Straight Through Processing and the automatic three-way line item matching process during the sessions. He also covered advanced imaging and workflow technologies for accounts payable and demonstrated how to streamline AP automation resistant functions.

In addition, DeVincent provided attendees with a demonstration of ASPEN 360 Accounts Payable Edition. ASPEN 360 is a subscription–based service that automates the back office process using AP imaging and workflow. It incorporates best practices, AP automation and an invoice virtualization center for a complete, ZeroTouch solution. He showed how companies are using ASPEN 360's Straight Through Processing feature to significantly increase efficiencies and reduce costs.

Another area of interest was the ASPEN 360 self service vendor portal, which allows vendors to view invoice status online rather than having to call the Accounts Payable department. "Due to the success of these sessions, we plan on presenting future webinars on Straight Through Processing using Automatic Line Item Matching and the Vendor Portal," added DeVincent.
