FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Hudson Group Streamlines Accounts Payable Processing with Archive Systems Source-to Shred Solution
Fairfield, NJ (December 20, 2004) - Archive Systems, the premier
provider of Document Process Outsourcing (DPO) services, recently announced an agreement
with Hudson Group, the largest transportation retail chain in North America, to expand
their services to include a Web-based document imaging solution.
Hudson Group expanded the overall relationship with Archive Systems
to deliver a comprehensive Web-based image hosting solution for their Accounts Payable
(AP) department, including high-volume off-site document conversion. Archive Systems had
already been providing Hudson Group with one element of its overall Archive DPO services,
off-site hard copy records storage. Now, all Hudson Group AP information resides
securely in Archive Systems redundant Data Center Infrastructure, where authorized
Hudson Group users have 24x7x365 Web-based access and support.
Hudson Group was running an internal document imaging system and it
had recently acquired the North American airport retailing business of WHSmith. This left
its accounts payable department processing 56% more vendor invoice documentation with a
limited increase in staff support, stated Rick Kushel, CEO of Archive Systems. They
turned to Archive Systems for a solution that would allow them to control the
documentation process while we provide a complete, effective, secure and reliable
outsourced service.
"Hudson News has realized significant process improvements and cost
savings by outsourcing to Archive Systems, stated William Wolf, VP of Finance - Retail
Division for Hudson Group. Archive eliminated our 6-month backlog of documents that
had yet to be scanned into our internal imaging system and dramatically improved internal
access to critical accounting documentation. Additionally, Archive Systems redundant
technical infrastructure has provided us with business continuity and disaster recovery
services that we could not match with our previous in-house system."
